  • 2 tablespoons doenjang (Korean soybean paste)
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean red chili flakes)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 3 spring onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse pork bones under cold water. Soak in fresh water for 30 minutes to remove blood.
  2. In a large pot, bring 1.5 liters of water to a boil. Add the soaked bones and boil for 10 minutes. Drain and rinse the bones under cold water.
  3. Return the bones to the pot. Add 1.5 liters of fresh water, onion, and garlic. Simmer covered for 1 hour.
  4. Remove bones and strain broth to remove impurities. Return broth to the pot.
